The Hannibal Fire Department and the IAFF Local 1211 teamed up to raise money for the
American Red Cross Northeast Missouri Chapter at River Bend Shopping Center in Hannibal. Union members from the Hannibal Fire Department volunteered during the annual Bucket Blitz Drive in front of the Wal-Mart Supercenter one weekend in March. The group of volunteers consisted of off-duty members of the HFD who gave out Tootsie Rolls and collected donations in red buckets. The generosity of the Hannibal community was outstanding as it allowed the fire fighters to raise over two hundred and twenty five dollars for the cause. All of the funds collected primarily go to support disaster relief services within the seven counties served by the Northeast Missouri Chapter of the
American Red Cross. Your contributions will bring help and comfort to someone in need. (March 2012)
