In the city of Hannibal, a burn permit is required during the months of June, July, and August. A burn permit is also required from September through May if the burn pile does not meet the burn pile description as stated in Hannibal's Open Burning City Ordinance. The Fire Chief or designated officer may require, refuse, or revoke any burn permit at anytime as deemed appropriate by that officer. Please note that for land clearing operations, a permit from the Department of Natural Resources is likely to be required.
